AZS41-Y is an electrically fused zirconia-alumina brick produced via the oxidation method, with a zirconia content of over 40%. It is the grade with the highest erosion resistance in the AZS series and is specifically designed for the most demanding high-temperature and highly erosive areas of glass melting furnaces.
Key Features:
Top-tier erosion resistance: With a ZrO₂ content of ≥40%, it forms an extremely stable, high-viscosity protective layer upon contact with molten glass. It demonstrates exceptional resistance to erosion from soda-lime glass, borosilicate glass, and high-alkali glass, significantly extending the service life of critical furnace components.
Superior Thermal Shock Resistance: An extremely low coefficient of thermal expansion combined with a uniform, dense crystalline structure ensures no cracking or spalling occurs under severe temperature fluctuations.
Ultra-Low Contamination: A rigorous oxidation process minimizes residual carbon and glass phase leaching to the absolute limit, virtually eliminating the formation of scale and bubbles, thereby meeting the stringent purity requirements of high-end glass production.
Precision Machining for Leak Prevention: CNC diamond grinding maintains dimensional tolerances within ±1.5 mm, ensuring tight interlocking of brick joints to effectively prevent glass melt penetration and upward drilling erosion.
Applications:
High-erosion areas such as the flow channel, kiln bench, bubbling zone, and glass level line on wall bricks. Suitable for critical components of melting furnaces for bottle and jar glass, tableware glass, float glass, borosilicate glass, and specialty glass.
