This product is a complete solution for AZS refractory bricks cast by electric melting, specifically designed for large-to-medium-sized glass melting furnaces in the 55-square-meter class. Addressing the operational characteristics of this furnace class—including a large melting area, high output, high temperatures in the flame zone, and intense glass melt convection—it provides high-grade, custom-designed brick profiles for critical furnace components such as the melting tank, flow channels, upper structure, and charging ports.
Key Features:
Systematic Full-Furnace Solution: Based on the structural characteristics of the melting tank, flame space, and glass melt flow patterns in 55-square-meter furnaces, a complete set of AZS brick configurations has been pre-designed. This covers all critical contact zones and high-temperature areas—including the melting tank walls, tank bottom lining, flow channels, charging port corners, breast wall, and front wall—with material grades scientifically selected according to each specific location.
Reinforced Design for Critical Areas: High-zirconia AZS material is used in highly corrosive zones such as the glass flow channels and the glass meniscus line to effectively resist the intense scouring and chemical corrosion caused by high-volume glass discharge; specialized bricks resistant to alkali vapor are selected for the upper structural zones, comprehensively extending the service life of all furnace components.
High Corrosion Resistance and Long Service Life: 55 m² furnaces typically operate under continuous, high-load conditions. The dense microstructure and high zirconia content of AZS materials form a stable protective layer, effectively resisting erosion from sodium-calcium glass and high-alkali glass melts, ensuring stable furnace operation for over 8–10 years.
Low Contamination and High Yield: The oxidation-based melting and casting process strictly controls the leaching of residual carbon and glass phases, eliminating the risk of stone formation and bubbles at the material level. This makes it particularly suitable for production lines with stringent quality requirements, such as those for high-value-added float glass, container glass, and rolled glass.
Precision Machining and Efficient Masonry: All bricks undergo CNC diamond grinding, with dimensional tolerances controlled within ±1.5 mm. The tight interlocking of brick joints effectively prevents glass melt penetration while significantly improving masonry efficiency and shortening the construction and cold repair cycles for new furnaces.
Suitable Furnace Types:
Various glass melting furnaces of approximately 55 square meters, suitable for large and medium-sized production lines such as float glass, rolled glass, bottle and jar glass, and tableware glass. Compatible with both regenerative flame furnaces and all-oxygen combustion furnaces.
