This product is a complete solution for AZS refractory bricks cast by electric melting, specifically designed for large-scale glass melting furnaces in the 78-square-meter class. Addressing the characteristics of extra-large melting tanks, high output, intense convection, and long-term operation, this solution provides high-grade, custom-designed brick types for all critical areas of the furnace—including the melting tank walls, tank bottom, flow channels, upper structure, and charging ports—to ensure stable operation throughout the furnace’s 8–12-year service life.
Key Features:
Systematic Full-Furnace Solution: Based on the melting tank structure, flame space, and glass melt flow characteristics of 78 m² furnaces, we pre-design a complete AZS brick configuration covering all critical areas—including melting tank walls, tank bottom lining, flow channels, charging port corners, breast walls, front walls, and suspension bricks. Material grades are scientifically selected for each location to maximize efficiency and ensure safety through redundancy.
Reinforced Design for Critical Areas: High-zirconia AZS materials (36#/41#) are prioritized for highly eroded zones such as the glass flow channels and the liquid surface line, effectively resisting the intense scouring of molten glass during high-output operations. The upper structure employs brick types specifically designed to resist alkali vapor, slowing surface powdering and spalling, and comprehensively extending the service life of all furnace components.
High resistance to severe erosion and extended kiln lifespan: For 78 m² kilns, daily melting capacity can exceed 200 tons, resulting in extremely intense convective erosion from the molten glass. The dense microstructure and high zirconia content of AZS materials form a stable protective layer, demonstrating exceptional erosion resistance in sodium-calcium glass, high-alkali glass, and other varieties, supporting customers in achieving safe operation for over 10 years.
Low Contamination and High Yield: Utilizing an oxidation-based melting and casting process, residual carbon and glass phase leaching are strictly controlled, eliminating defects such as stone formation and bubbles at the material level. This makes the bricks particularly suitable for production lines with stringent purity requirements, such as those for float glass, photovoltaic rolled glass, and high-end tableware glass.
Precision Machining and Efficient Installation: All bricks undergo CNC diamond grinding, with dimensional tolerances controlled within ±1.5 mm, ensuring tight interlocking of brick joints and effectively preventing glass melt penetration and upward drilling erosion. Precise machining dimensions also significantly improve the masonry efficiency of large furnaces, shortening foundation construction and cold repair cycles.
Suitable Furnace Types:
Large glass melting furnaces of approximately 78 square meters, suitable for large-scale continuous production lines such as float glass, ultra-clear rolled photovoltaic glass, large bottle and jar glass, and tableware glass. Compatible with various furnace types, including regenerative flame furnaces and all-oxygen combustion furnaces.
