AZS channel bricks are precision-machined refractory bricks made from AZS material produced via the oxidation fusion process. They are specifically designed for feed channels and are used to construct the entire transport route through which molten glass flows from the working tank to the forming machine. Since this section is in prolonged contact with flowing molten glass, it places high demands on the bricks’ resistance to erosion, dimensional accuracy, and material purity.
Key Features:
Sustained Resistance to Glass Melt Erosion: Through prolonged contact with flowing glass melt, the high zirconia content in AZS forms a stable protective layer that effectively resists erosion and scouring, extending the overall service life of the flow channel.
Precision Assembly and Tight Sealing: CNC grinding ensures precise brick dimensions and tight joints, preventing glass melt from seeping through gaps or penetrating upward, thereby guaranteeing stable flow rates.
Material Purity and Low Contamination: The oxidation process controls glass phase leaching to an extremely low level, preventing stones and bubbles from entering the forming stage and ensuring the quality of the final glass product.
Thermal Shock Resistance and Long Service Life: A low coefficient of thermal expansion and a uniform crystalline structure enable the channel bricks to withstand frequent temperature adjustments within the feed channel without cracking or spalling.
Complete Set Availability: We can supply a full set of materials—including sidewall bricks, base bricks, cover bricks, and matching special-shaped bricks—based on channel design drawings, ensuring material consistency and efficient installation.
Applications:
Channel areas in glass melting furnace feed channels (channels) that come into direct contact with molten glass, such as sidewalls, base plates, cover plates, and partitions. Widely used in feed systems for bottle and jar glass, tableware glass, vacuum flask glass, and float glass.
