AZS sealing material is an air-setting sealant formulated primarily from fine electrofused zircon-corundum (AZS) powder, combined with specialized binders and composite additives. Being chemically homologous with AZS bricks—and sharing a synchronized coefficient of thermal expansion—it is capable of sintering at high temperatures to form a dense, impermeable, and monolithic structure. Distinguished by its exceptional resistance to glass melt corrosion (attributed to its high ZrO₂ content), superior bonding strength, and high volume stability, this material seamlessly fills voids and fuses integrally with the surrounding masonry, thereby achieving a robust, crack-free, and spall-resistant seal. AZS sealing material is an air-hardening sealing compound formulated primarily from fine powder of electrofused zirconia-alumina (AZS), combined with special binders and composite additives. Derived from the same material as AZS bricks, this product is specifically designed for sealing joints and repairing cracks in AZS brick masonry. It sintered into a dense, monolithic structure at high temperatures, effectively preventing glass melt leakage.

Key Features:

Homogeneous Matching for Strong Sealing: With the same chemical composition as AZS bricks and a synchronized coefficient of thermal expansion, it expands and contracts in tandem with the bricks during furnace temperature changes, preventing delamination and gaps.

Dense and Impermeable: The fine slurry fully fills the brick joints and, after high-temperature sintering, fuses with the AZS bricks to form a single unit, effectively preventing glass melt from penetrating upward or downward.

Strong Adhesion, No Peeling: Exhibits exceptional bonding strength to the AZS brick substrate, maintaining a tight bond at both ambient and high temperatures to ensure long-term, reliable joint sealing.

Applications:

Sealing of all joints in AZS brick masonry of glass melting furnaces, including critical areas such as the walls and bottom of the melting tank, flow channels, charging ports, furnace hearths, and around electrode bricks. It can also be used to repair small cracks and fill localized defects on the surface of AZS bricks. Suitable for new furnace construction and cold repair projects in melting furnaces for bottle and jar glass, tableware glass, and float glass.
