AZS36-Y is an electrically fused zirconia-alumina brick produced via the oxidation method, with a zirconia content increased to approximately 36%. Compared to the 33# brick, it offers superior erosion resistance and high-temperature performance, making it an upgraded choice for critical erosion-prone areas in glass melting furnaces.
Key Features:
Enhanced Erosion Resistance: The higher zirconia content forms a more stable protective layer upon contact with molten glass, making it particularly suitable for high-alkali and high-boron glass environments and significantly extending furnace lifespan.
Excellent Thermal Shock Resistance: With a low coefficient of thermal expansion and a dense, uniform crystal structure, the bricks do not crack or spall under frequent temperature fluctuations.
Minimal Contamination: The oxidation process keeps residual carbon and glass leaching to an extremely low level, effectively reducing scale and bubbles to ensure the purity of the molten glass.
Tight, Leak-Proof Joints: CNC precision grinding ensures dimensional accuracy and tight, interlocking joints, preventing molten glass from eroding upward through the joints.
Applications:
Liquid flow channels, feed port corners, tank wall liquid level lines, and high-wear areas. Suitable for melting furnaces producing bottle and jar glass, tableware glass, borosilicate glass, and high-alkali specialty glass.
