AZS bricks are electrofused zirconia-alumina refractory materials produced by high-temperature melting and casting in an electric arc furnace using alumina, zirconia, and silica as raw materials. Classified into standard grades such as 33#, 36#, and 41# based on their zirconia content, they are indispensable core refractory products for areas in glass melting furnaces that come into direct contact with molten glass.
Key Advantages:
Graded erosion resistance options: Grade 33# balances performance and cost, making it suitable for standard areas such as tank walls and bottoms; Grade 36# offers stronger erosion resistance and is specifically designed for high-erosion areas such as flow channels and charging ports; Grade 41# provides the highest level of erosion resistance, offering the most reliable protection in extreme areas such as kiln sills and bubbling zones.
Ultra-Low Contamination Ensures Quality: The oxidation-based melting and casting process strictly controls the leaching of residual carbon into the glass phase, effectively eliminating defects such as scaling and bubbles, and ensuring high purity of the molten glass.
Precision Machining for Leak Prevention: All bricks can be CNC diamond-ground to ensure precise dimensions and tight joints, preventing the glass melt from drilling holes or seeping upward.
Flexible Customization of Special-Shaped Bricks: We can manufacture various complex-shaped bricks—such as flow channel bricks, charging port bricks, suspension bricks, and hook bricks—based on customer drawings to meet the design requirements of different kiln types.
Applications:
Covers all critical areas of glass melting furnaces that come into direct contact with molten glass, including the liquid level line on the walls of the melting tank, the tank bottom lining, flow holes, feed ports, furnace walls, bubbling zones, and feed channels. Widely used in melting furnaces for bottle and jar glass, tableware glass, float glass, photovoltaic rolled glass, and various types of specialty glass.
