AZS material handling bricks are electrically fused zirconia-alumina special-shaped bricks designed specifically for material handling processes in glass melting furnaces, such as batch feeding and molten glass transfer. Whether in the charging zone, where they are subjected to the impact of cold materials, or in the feed channels, where they are in constant contact with flowing molten glass, this series of bricks provides reliable protection thanks to the exceptional properties of the AZS material.
Key Features:
High Resistance to Abrasion and Corrosion: Resists chemical corrosion and mechanical abrasion from soda ash and quartz sand in the batch. The high zirconia content forms a dense protective layer, significantly extending the brick’s service life.
Superior Thermal Shock Resistance: A low coefficient of thermal expansion and uniform crystal structure prevent cracking or spalling under frequent temperature fluctuations, making these bricks particularly suitable for temperature-sensitive areas such as feed ports and flow channels.
Precision Monolithic Molding: Complex shapes are cast as a single piece and then precision-ground via CNC machining, eliminating weak joints and preventing material leakage or glass melt infiltration, thereby ensuring system safety.
Pure Material with Low Contamination: The oxidation process minimizes glass phase leaching to an extremely low level, preventing the formation of scale and bubbles throughout the material conveyance process and maintaining the high purity of the molten glass.
Flexible Customization: We can customize various special-shaped structures—such as chute bricks, flow-guiding bricks, transition bricks, and paving bricks—based on your conveying system design drawings to perfectly match on-site installation requirements.
Applications:
Material feeding chutes, feed port protection bricks, side walls/bottoms of feed channels, flow channel transition sections, distribution channels, and all other areas directly in contact with material handling and conveyance. Suitable for bottle and jar furnaces, vessel furnaces, float glass furnaces, and specialty glass furnaces.
